# Current vs Quick Reads

The clearest difference is price: Quick Reads at Free against Current's $9.99. Quick Reads also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5). Current's advantage is ratings volume (111 vs 1) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 9 days). On ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Quick Reads is free to download; Current costs $9.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Quick Reads holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Current has 111 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Current ships an update every 3 days, Quick Reads every 9 days. Both last shipped on October 2, 2026.
