# Emergency Reminder vs GoBag+ Emergency Prep Kit

The clearest difference is monetization model: Emergency Reminder at free against GoBag+ Emergency Prep Kit's freemium. GoBag+ Emergency Prep Kit's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs monthly) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Emergency Reminder sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and GoBag+ Emergency Prep Kit sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Emergency Reminder ships an update monthly, GoBag+ Emergency Prep Kit every 5 days. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
