# BlockSaga vs Popup Panic

BlockSaga and Popup Panic both sit at 4.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Popup Panic's written reviews are positive against 69% of BlockSaga's. BlockSaga's advantage is ratings volume (1.3K vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BlockSaga sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and Popup Panic sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for BlockSaga against 5.0 for Popup Panic. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BlockSaga has 1.3K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 69% of BlockSaga's written reviews are positive against 100% of Popup Panic's.

BlockSaga ships an update every 6 days, Popup Panic every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
