# Happier vs Temp Number | Receive SMS

The clearest difference is rating: Happier at 4.3 against Temp Number | Receive SMS's 3.0. Happier also leads on ratings volume (15 vs 2). Temp Number | Receive SMS's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 71%) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Happier holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Happier has 15 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of Happier's written reviews are positive against 100% of Temp Number | Receive SMS's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Happier ships an update every 5 weeks, Temp Number | Receive SMS every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
