# MDash vs HTML Viewer & Editor

The clearest difference is ads: MDash at none against HTML Viewer & Editor's shown. MDash also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 weeks) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). HTML Viewer & Editor's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (27 vs 5). On price, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MDash sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and HTML Viewer & Editor sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
