# Shift vs Smart

The clearest difference is device support: Smart at 3 against Shift's 1. Smart also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 26.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Shift ships an update every 8 days, Smart fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
