# Ideal Calendar vs DayBox

The clearest difference is update cadence: Ideal Calendar at every 8 days against DayBox's monthly. Ideal Calendar also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ideal Calendar sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and DayBox sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Ideal Calendar ships an update every 8 days, DayBox monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
