# TimeDots vs Gridless

The clearest difference is monetization model: Gridless at free against TimeDots's free with in-app purchases. Gridless also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 weeks) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.3). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TimeDots sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Gridless sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TimeDots ships an update every 2 weeks, Gridless every 3 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
