# Flowstate vs YostNotes

The clearest difference is update cadence: YostNotes at every 2 weeks against Flowstate's every 5 weeks. Flowstate's advantage is iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flowstate sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and YostNotes sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Flowstate ships an update every 5 weeks, YostNotes every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
