# Diaryd vs Sheaf

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Diaryd at none against Sheaf's 1. Sheaf's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 11 days) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sheaf sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Diaryd asks for nothing beyond the download.

Diaryd ships an update every 11 days, Sheaf every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
