# Duro vs Dots

The clearest difference is rating: Dots at 4.9 against Duro's 4.0. Dots also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and ratings volume (229 vs 3). Duro's advantage is iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Duro sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Dots sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Dots holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dots has 229 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Duro ships an update every 2 weeks, Dots every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
