# Speakeasy vs Magic Books

The clearest difference is update cadence: Speakeasy at every 10 days against Magic Books's monthly. Speakeasy also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Speakeasy sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.99 per month and Magic Books sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
