# WeekPad vs Sphere

The clearest difference is monetization model: Sphere at free against WeekPad's paid. Sphere also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 5 weeks) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). WeekPad's advantage is ratings volume (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Sphere holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3 and 1 respectively.

WeekPad ships an update every 5 weeks, Sphere every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
