# Baseguard vs Privela

The clearest difference is ads: Baseguard at none against Privela's shown. Privela's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Baseguard ships an update monthly, Privela fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
