# PicksDb vs 3PunchConvo

The clearest difference is monetization model: PicksDb at free against 3PunchConvo's free with in-app purchases. PicksDb also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). 3PunchConvo's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly). On price, rating, review sentiment and ratings volume there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PicksDb sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and 3PunchConvo sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for PicksDb against 5.0 for 3PunchConvo. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 16 and 9 respectively. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

PicksDb ships an update fortnightly, 3PunchConvo weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
