# Flashcard vs Flashy

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Flashcard at none against Flashy's 1. Flashy's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flashy sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Flashcard asks for nothing beyond the download.

Flashcard ships an update every 3 months, Flashy every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
