# Word Search Builder vs SpellDrop

The clearest difference is ads: Word Search Builder at none against SpellDrop's shown. Word Search Builder also leads on device support (3 vs 1). SpellDrop's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 months). On price, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Word Search Builder sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and SpellDrop sells 7 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Word Search Builder ships an update every 3 months, SpellDrop every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
