# Coscous vs Altimeter

The clearest difference is update cadence: Coscous at every 2 days against Altimeter's every 4 weeks. Coscous also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Coscous sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Altimeter sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Coscous ships an update every 2 days, Altimeter every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
