# TwistInvite vs Message Diary

The clearest difference is ads: Message Diary at none against TwistInvite's shown. Message Diary also leads on rating (4.5 vs 4.2). TwistInvite's advantage is review sentiment (78% vs 50%). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TwistInvite sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Message Diary sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Message Diary holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 11 and 4 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 78% of TwistInvite's written reviews are positive against 50% of Message Diary's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

TwistInvite ships an update every 4 days, Message Diary every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
