# AuraPen vs Sonory

The clearest difference is update cadence: Sonory at every 3 days against AuraPen's fortnightly. Sonory also leads on iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AuraPen sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Sonory sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AuraPen ships an update fortnightly, Sonory every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
