# Dots vs Scrollogy

The clearest difference is monetization model: Dots at free against Scrollogy's free with in-app purchases. Dots also leads on ratings volume (216 vs 3) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dots sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Scrollogy sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Dots against 5.0 for Scrollogy. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dots has 216 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Dots ships an update weekly, Scrollogy every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
