# Dots vs Trax

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Trax at none against Dots's 3. Dots's advantage is ratings volume (216 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dots sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Trax asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Dots against 5.0 for Trax. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dots has 216 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
