# Blitzr vs Speed Reader

The clearest difference is update cadence: Blitzr at every 11 days against Speed Reader's every 3 months. Blitzr also leads on iOS requirement (15.5 vs 26.2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Blitzr sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Speed Reader sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Blitzr ships an update every 11 days, Speed Reader every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
