# DoomFree vs NoRot

The clearest difference is monetization model: NoRot at freemium against DoomFree's subscription. NoRot also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.6). DoomFree's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (17.6 vs 26.2). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DoomFree sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and NoRot sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

NoRot holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 9 and 5 respectively. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

DoomFree ships an update every 4 days, NoRot every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
