# QR Handler vs SWF Player

The clearest difference is ads: SWF Player at none against QR Handler's shown. SWF Player also leads on device support (4 vs 2) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.4). On price, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. QR Handler sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and SWF Player sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

QR Handler ships an update monthly, SWF Player every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
