# Subs vs Epistles Mail

The clearest difference is update cadence: Epistles Mail at every 2 days against Subs's every 2 weeks. Epistles Mail also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (16.6 vs 18.6). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Subs sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Epistles Mail sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $49.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Subs ships an update every 2 weeks, Epistles Mail every 2 days. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
