# Genio vs Pencilled

The clearest difference is update cadence: Pencilled at every 2 days against Genio's every 2 weeks. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Genio sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $151.99 per year and Pencilled sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Genio ships an update every 2 weeks, Pencilled every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
