# FocusDose vs Formulate

The clearest difference is update cadence: FocusDose at every 3 days against Formulate's every 3 weeks. Formulate's advantage is iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FocusDose sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Formulate sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FocusDose ships an update every 3 days, Formulate every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
