# ZensNote vs Cathedra

The clearest difference is update cadence: Cathedra at every 5 days against ZensNote's every 2 months. ZensNote's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 26.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ZensNote sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Cathedra sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $11.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ZensNote ships an update every 2 months, Cathedra every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
