# BiteGrade vs BiteCast

The clearest difference is rating: BiteGrade at 5.0 against BiteCast's 4.0. BiteCast's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 4 months). On price, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BiteGrade sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $19.99 per year. BiteCast asks for nothing beyond the download.

BiteGrade holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BiteCast has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

BiteGrade ships an update every 4 months, BiteCast every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
