# Instant Background Check vs Stealth Contacts

The clearest difference is update cadence: Instant Background Check at every 8 days against Stealth Contacts's every 3 weeks. Instant Background Check also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Instant Background Check sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Stealth Contacts sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
