# Stepzy vs StepMax

The clearest difference is ads: Stepzy at none against StepMax's shown. Stepzy also leads on ratings volume (20 vs 3) and iOS requirement (17.6 vs 26.2). StepMax's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Stepzy sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and StepMax sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

StepMax holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Stepzy has 20 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Stepzy ships an update weekly, StepMax every 6 days. Both last shipped on October 20, 2026.
