# WeightSnap vs Habit Tracker

The clearest difference is monetization model: WeightSnap at free against Habit Tracker's freemium. Habit Tracker's advantage is ratings volume (9 vs 1). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WeightSnap sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Habit Tracker sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for WeightSnap against 5.0 for Habit Tracker. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Habit Tracker has 9 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

WeightSnap ships an update every 3 days, Habit Tracker every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
