# DronePilot vs DroneCert

The clearest difference is update cadence: DronePilot at every 3 days against DroneCert's every 2 months. DronePilot also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DronePilot sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and DroneCert sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

DronePilot ships an update every 3 days, DroneCert every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
