# TipJoy vs ShiftTip AI

The clearest difference is ratings volume: TipJoy at 64 against ShiftTip AI's 1. TipJoy also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TipJoy sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and ShiftTip AI sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for TipJoy against 5.0 for ShiftTip AI. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TipJoy has 64 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

TipJoy ships an update fortnightly, ShiftTip AI every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
