# MonkeySSH vs MeterTab

The clearest difference is update cadence: MonkeySSH at every 2 days against MeterTab's every 6 days. MonkeySSH also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MonkeySSH sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and MeterTab sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MonkeySSH ships an update every 2 days, MeterTab every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on September 24, 2026 and September 20, 2026 respectively.
