# Iris vs Mert Stream TV

The clearest difference is update cadence: Mert Stream TV at every 2 days against Iris's fortnightly. Iris's advantage is iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Iris sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Mert Stream TV sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Iris ships an update fortnightly, Mert Stream TV every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
