# Rewrite Text vs SFD

The clearest difference is update cadence: SFD at every 8 days against Rewrite Text's every 3 months. SFD also leads on iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Rewrite Text sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and SFD sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Rewrite Text ships an update every 3 months, SFD every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
