# Light Share vs LightDrop

The clearest difference is update cadence: Light Share at every 8 days against LightDrop's monthly. LightDrop's advantage is iOS requirement (16.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Light Share sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and LightDrop sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Light Share ships an update every 8 days, LightDrop monthly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
