# Operly vs Maho Notes

The clearest difference is rating: Maho Notes at 5.0 against Operly's 4.3. Operly's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months). On price, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Maho Notes sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Operly asks for nothing beyond the download.

Maho Notes holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Operly has 12 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Operly ships an update every 2 months, Maho Notes every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
