# ThyWord vs Holy Stories

The clearest difference is ratings volume: ThyWord at 104 against Holy Stories's 5. ThyWord also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). Holy Stories's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 4 days). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ThyWord sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Holy Stories sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.89 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for ThyWord against 5.0 for Holy Stories. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ThyWord has 104 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.

ThyWord ships an update every 4 days, Holy Stories every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and November 7, 2026 respectively.
