# ThyWord vs Bible Praise

The clearest difference is monetization model: ThyWord at free with in-app purchases against Bible Praise's subscription. ThyWord also leads on ratings volume (104 vs 1). Bible Praise's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ThyWord sells 17 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Bible Praise sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for ThyWord against 5.0 for Bible Praise. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ThyWord has 104 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

ThyWord ships an update every 4 days, Bible Praise every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
