# ThyWord vs Bible App

The clearest difference is ads: Bible App at none against ThyWord's shown. ThyWord's advantage is ratings volume (104 vs 2) and update cadence (every 4 days vs fortnightly). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ThyWord sells 17 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Bible App sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for ThyWord against 5.0 for Bible App. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ThyWord has 104 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

ThyWord ships an update every 4 days, Bible App fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 21, 2026 respectively.
