# ThyWord vs SermonFlow

The clearest difference is rating: ThyWord at 4.9 against SermonFlow's 4.0. ThyWord also leads on ratings volume (104 vs 1) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 9 days). SermonFlow's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ThyWord sells 17 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and SermonFlow sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ThyWord holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ThyWord has 104 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

ThyWord ships an update every 4 days, SermonFlow every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
