# Synap.ing vs notetime

The clearest difference is rating: Synap.ing at 5.0 against notetime's 4.7. Synap.ing also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs weekly). notetime's advantage is ratings volume (18 vs 2) and iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Synap.ing sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month and notetime sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Synap.ing holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: notetime has 18 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Synap.ing ships an update every 3 days, notetime weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
