# Skift vs ToolVault

The clearest difference is update cadence: ToolVault at every 6 days against Skift's every 3 weeks. Skift's advantage is iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Skift sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and ToolVault sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Skift ships an update every 3 weeks, ToolVault every 6 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
