# Alea vs Dice Sheet

The clearest difference is monetization model: Alea at free against Dice Sheet's freemium. Alea also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 10 days) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Alea sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Dice Sheet sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Alea ships an update every 4 days, Dice Sheet every 10 days. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
