# Share Location vs Car Play Connect

The clearest difference is rating: Car Play Connect at 5.0 against Share Location's 3.5. Share Location's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (15 vs 1). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Share Location sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per 7 days and Car Play Connect sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Car Play Connect holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Share Location has 15 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Share Location ships an update weekly, Car Play Connect every 4 days. Both last shipped on October 26, 2026.
