# Decodex vs Letter Tangle

The clearest difference is rating: Decodex at 5.0 against Letter Tangle's 4.7. Decodex also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.6). Letter Tangle's advantage is ratings volume (19 vs 3). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Decodex sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Letter Tangle sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Decodex holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Letter Tangle has 19 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Decodex ships an update every 2 days, Letter Tangle every 3 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
