# Bamboo Player vs IPTV Smart Player

The clearest difference is rating: Bamboo Player at 5.0 against IPTV Smart Player's 4.4. Bamboo Player also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs freemium). IPTV Smart Player's advantage is ratings volume (40 vs 1) and review sentiment (66% vs 50%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bamboo Player sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and IPTV Smart Player sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Bamboo Player holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: IPTV Smart Player has 40 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Bamboo Player's written reviews are positive against 66% of IPTV Smart Player's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Bamboo Player ships an update weekly, IPTV Smart Player every 8 days. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
